Asparagus, a vegetable with a taste so fine

they grow as a stalk and stand in a line

they’re the flavor of the earth all shaped like a spear

with a noticing tell that might only appear

when the person who eats them, decides to go pee,

takes in a whiff, and decides, “that’s not quite right to me”

one then backtracks their meals and, lo and behold

Aparagus was with dinner - the scent’s coming throgh bold
